These Articles of Operation govern your use of the Iron Tortoise clockwork game. By winding the mechanism and commencing play, you signify your agreement to be bound by them. Those who do not consent should refrain from operation.
Right of Operation
The Iron Tortoise Manufactory hereby grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to operate Iron Tortoise via a web browser for private, non-commercial amusement. This licence is limited strictly to the act of play and does not extend to ownership of the machine, its parts, or its blueprints.
Permitted Operations
You are at liberty to play Iron Tortoise freely, share links to it, discuss it publicly, and produce non-commercial creative content inspired by it — provided that the origin of the work is clearly attributed to this Manufactory and not claimed as your own invention.
Proscribed Activities
- Operating automated mechanisms, bots, or injection tools to manipulate gameplay or inflate scores
- Disassembling, reverse-engineering, or reproducing the game's schematics, artwork, or apparatus for redistribution
- Incorporating the Iron Tortoise character, cog designs, or other visual elements into a commercial enterprise without prior written consent
- Rehousing and presenting a modified version of this game as an independent original work
- Any conduct that runs contrary to the laws and regulations applicable in your territory
Proprietorship of the Invention
Iron Tortoise in its entirety — the mechanical tortoise, the clockwork track, the top hat and monocle, the piston and gear hazards, the bronze cog collectibles, and all underlying code — is the intellectual property of its inventors. All rights not expressly granted in these Articles are reserved. Playing the game is a privilege of use; it conveys no ownership interest whatsoever.
Operational Continuity
The Manufactory will endeavour to keep Iron Tortoise in working order, but reserves the right to alter, retool, or retire the mechanism at any time without advance notice. No warranty of uninterrupted operation is given or implied.
Indemnity and Liability
Iron Tortoise is provided in the spirit of industrial ingenuity, without warranty. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Manufactory shall not be held liable for any damage, loss, or inconvenience arising from the operation of this device — including harm attributable to steam pistons operating at unexpected moments.
Revision of Articles
These Articles may be revised by the Manufactory at any time. Revised terms shall take effect upon publication on this page. Continued operation of the game following revision constitutes acceptance of the amended Articles.
